  Prof. Pradeep is a researcher who has dedicated his life to a mission of ensuring clean water for society. He is a pioneer in utilising nanotechnology for water purification. He has been honoured with several awards and very recently he received the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz water award.
- Prof. Pradeep has been announced as the laureate of the 10th edition of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) in the ‘Creativity Prize’ category.
  
  On 5 June 2022, the Prize Council, under the chairmanship of the president of King Saud University Dr. Badran Al-Omar, and under the direction of PSIPW President HRH Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, approved the winners for the 10th Award (2022)
- IIT Madras gets new research centre for wastewater analysis
